denial

Got my denial from soc sec today. Just adds to horrible headache ive already have. Meet with my lawyer to appeal it next thursday, is there any point to it? They dont get it. But i have no choice but to return to work at end of month. Need the money. If i get nerve stimulator i will be off work again amd if i need surgery will be off again. I wish people could walk in our shoes for a little while. Then maybe they would understand.

Wanted to let you know I'm in the same sisuation as you right now.  My lawyer told me it is the process.  I  received my letter from the state and it say's it can take up to 20 months before being able to appear in front of a judge.  There are so many people who are trying to get SS so it is taking longer.  As my lawyer told me and I want to share with you. "Don't give up.  You have worked for this money and you have a right to it".  We are not doing this by choice.  I much rather work, but I know in my heart I no longer can't.  It's called exceptance.. Selma helped me with this one.  Just don't give up.  It just takes time and us with Chiria all have had to learn about patient's.  Best of luck and keep your appt.

From what I understand from all those that did get SSID they were all denied the first time and got it on the 2nd appeal...so yes it is worth it...keep positive.

Having a lawyer is key, did u look at the thread oh how to win SSID?

Man, I am so sorry to hear that. I really hope your lawyer can help you out - don't give up, keep fighting for your rights - you have them and you deserve them.

It is true, people really just don't understand, and certainly can complicate things. While I think the fact that we physically look the same as the rest of society is a blessing, it can also be a burden. People can look at us, not see anything wrong and either brush off our pain, or simply forget about it because it is not right in their face. It is a difficult thing, there is no doubt about that.

I wounder if we could find a way to somewhat accurately simulate how we feel?

Once again, Im  sorry that people are just brushing off your pain, and for the lack of understand the vast majority of society has....just remember you are in a place here where people understand, and keep fighting for your rights!
