mri results

Does anyone know what it means when the intracranial flow voids are symmetrical and also what is well aerated paranasal sinuses mean? thank you

  Hi...in reference to inter cranial flow voids I found this info -Flow voids are normal. The method of excitement used to make single slice images of your brain gives the energy pulses twice at a given time frame. The moving blood leaves the area between pulses. The stationary tissue gives back energy that we call a echo and use this to make the picture. The blood does not give off this echo leaving dark signal voids in the picture. So in arteries and veins moving blood is good, if we get signal from the vessel on the scan that we don't expect, we start to look for problems like clots or aneurysm.

And well aerated paranasal sinuses...this is discussing ur paranasal sinuses...and well aerated means well oxygenated.....so it is good.

Sorry it took me so long to return. Thanks for the info I took my daughter for her cine last week now just waiting for the results Next week is the lumbar. I feel so bad when i cant help my daughters pain that she suffers every day
