Considering Surgery for chiari. How long is recovery?

I'm not sure anyone can answer this question with any authority.  I was mis-Dxd for many years, but still, with a skilled surgeon (& despite a lot of stress), I feel much better 6 months post op.  Some people go back to work; others are disabled indefinitely.
Many of us have been told 1-2 years to determine full recovery.
