I have this a lot...its a weired buzzing sensation and i get it all over its a mix of tingeling, electric feel, buzzing all at once.
Penny San Antonio is a beautiful place....u have the Alamo...the riverwalk....I was there a few yrs back...oh and that mall btwn San Antonio and Auston....can't remember the name of the town where the mall was, but huge like a small town....crazy...outlets for so many top names.
I hope u find a good Chiari NS down there and u enjoy the area : )
It doesn't happen in any kind of regular intervals. When it comes on it happens suddenly. Sometimes it will just be in one location like the back of the head and neck or down one arm or leg. Sometimes it happens all over the entire right side. The right side is the side that is most affected by my Chiari. When it occurs, it is like a constant electric shock running through the area or body.
Selma, I am about a year and a half post op. I haven't seen my NS in a long time due to a change in my insurance and I haven't gotten disability yet. I have not gotten an EMG. The NS that did my surgery was Dr. Heffez in Milwaukee. I have recently moved to South Texas and will be looking for a NS in San Antonio soon.
Penny the more I think about this I wonder about carpal tunnel??
Have u had a EMG done?
Can you describe the sensations a bit more? (like how often they occur, do they happen all over your body or where specifically, are they sharp and quick or happen in spurts, etc...)
Hi Penny...how far along post op are u now?
I am wondering if mayb u have a bulging disk or something else going on....this is not a typical post op issue...and would advise calling ur NS.
When did u see him/her last?
