Yeah, I agree. Ill still be trying to decide which dx I think is correct lol because so far.....TMD/TMJ. B12 Vit D difficiency. And "fibromyalgia ". lol
Well I was dx'd with that too yrs ago, but in recent yrs was dx'd with EDS and that explains the pain that I have...I think they do not know what to look for and they give up and give it a name....

GOod idea because i dont have insurance yet. She said that i have it but i dont think anything actually showed tmd on the xray so that is why im iffy about the diagnoses. As you kno my symptoms which are vast......it can fit for so many different things. Never ending lol. Do you believe in fibromyalgia?
Be advised those mouth guards r pricey.....so try one from the sporting section that u can put in hot water to shape....b4 u invest in a more expensive type.
I was told this was a possibility and my dentist checked me and said I did not have it, but if I wanted to try the less expensive sports mouth guard first to see if there was improvement.
Good luck

went to the dentist for my wisdom tooth. Which i have to get removed next week. I had told her my issues and she said that my symptoms are exact of tmd. I told her i was not sure because many symptoms can be to multiple things. So she said process of ilimination. She wants me to try a nightguard because i clench my teeth. But idk f this realy is the problem iv jhad past year.
One issue is that TMJD which I believe u r referring to is the TM Joint....and it is dysfunctioning....so TMJD.....neway, so many of us r told we may have this...my dentist reviewed me for this and said no I did not....
I later found that much of my issues were the result of EDS which is a joint issue but affects all joints not just the TM joint....
As for the prilosec...how long r u on it? I can take a while for it to reep benefits.....and not everyone can take this med...so if after 2 months and modifying ur diet and lifestyle the GERD symptoms remain the same talk to ur Dr about trying a diff med.

Bone is a living, active tissue that is constantly being renewed. It consists of a hard outer shell (cortex) made up of minerals, mainly calcium and phosphate, and a softer inner mesh (matrix) made up of collagen fibres, similar to gristle. The strength of new bone depends on enough minerals being laid down in the outer shell. To allow mineralization to take place the body needs calcium, phosphate and vitamin D. If the body doesn't have enough of any one of these ingredients, then osteomalacia will develop.
Anyone who is lacking in vitamin D is likely to develop osteomalacia. Although we can get vitamin D from foods, most of our supply of vitamin D is produced by the body itself. Cholesterol, which is present naturally in the skin, is converted to vitamin D through the action of sunlight on the skin.
Osteomalacia, particularly when it is caused by a lack of vitamin D, causes bone pain and muscle weakness. The pain is most often felt in the legs, the groin, upper thighs, knees and sometimes in the feet when you stand, walk or run.
Symptoms of severe vitamin B12 deficiency (regardless of the cause) may include burning of the tongue, fatigue, weakness, loss of appetite, intermittent constipation and diarrhea, abdominal pain, weight loss, menstrual symptoms, psychological symptoms, and nervous system problems, such as numbness and tingling in the feet and hands. Most symptoms can occur before the deficiency is severe enough to cause anemia. Healthcare professionals have a series of laboratory tests that can determine B12 deficiency at earlier stages that are not accompanied by anemia.
May I ask, have u ever had GERD symptoms?....Too little acid can cause mal absorption of V B12 ....so this could be something u want to look into.
I hope some of this is helpful-
