tender spot where syrinx is located

Hi again. It's Bo's mama on her neverending search for answers. Grateful for all of u patient, knowledgeable friends I have found on this forum. Thanks to all that posted back on previous questions I had. This one may sound crazy, but I have noticed a spot on my spine when I was brushing my hair that is sore to the touch. Best I can tell, it's the same spot my syrinx is at in my spine. Is it possible I am touching it from the outside, and that's why that spot hurts? It doesn't seem possible, but this is all new to me, so I'm putting this out to all of u. Merry Christmas.

I have exactly the same pain when I touch the area on my spine where my syrinx is.  It is sore all the time. Plus I have pain between my shoulder blades and in my sternum area all the time which is a raw pain much like the pain you get where you've had a deep cut or have had surgery.  It is unrelenting but it does fad a lot if I am lying down and not moving.

You are not imagining things.  Pain is very individualized and it moves around and changes.

Hi, I have a syrinx at C7, and have not noticed this type of pain / soreness. I do have a very stiff spine though from C section all the way to bottom of T section. I find that I am always turning my torso left & right to 'un-stiffen' it a bit. I used to get my husband to crack my back because I felt that I was being pushed towards the ground from my head. Not sure if you know what I mean. It always felt great afterwards, but only for seconds. I no longer am allowed to have my back cracked so now I just try to put up with the stiffness. To be honest, I've been this way for so long now that it has become my 'normal' to have a stiff back. some days it is less stiff and some days more. If anyone knows a good way to get relief, I'd be pleased to hear about it.
Hope you manage to get some of your questions answered.

I have a syrinx too and when I have massages and they touch from my shoulderblades up I can't stand it! It's not that it hurts it's a different feeling that I dnt no how to explain.

I am not sure, could it be? I don't like being touched where my syrinx is located I would not say it hurts but the sensation there is weird.... like numbness and just really uncomfortable. Like if someone is giving me a hug (I got syrinx from T6-T10) I back out if it is feels too tight hug lol..
Merry Christmas :)

I dont know for sure but I dont see why not. Theres nerves there that the syrinx is pushing on - I have a syrinx and I do notice that my back will radiate pain around that area - so I dont see why its not possible
