waiting for Cine MRI results

How long did it take?  I had my CINE MRI test on Wednesday and I know its only Friday but Im so anxious and just wondering how long it typically takes especially when the doctor is in the same hospital as the MRI?  did it take a few days?  Does the longer it take mean there was nothing found?  I'm worrying myself about all the possibilities.  I had testing done at Tufts Medical in Boston and I know they are busy and Im not their only patient...just wondering about how long did everyone wait.

Just to let you guys know  I know you go to boston but i see a NS out of ri hosptial her name is dr.petra klinge she is terrafic she specializes in many things but her main is on chiari im scheduled to be having surgery done by her in a few months but i just wanted to let you if anyone is looking for NS in the ri,ma area ive seen dr.scott in boston mass  also he was a great well known NS but more with pediactrics i heard dr.heilman was great also he was going to be my next option if i didnt find my NS i have now!

I'm sure the waiting is so hard.  Did you see Dr Heilman at Tufts and get the Cine ordered by him?  I am scheduled to see him in Sept.  Feeling so thankful despite the wait b/c I had originally sent him a letter with all my sx and CDs with my c-spine MRI and a brain MRI from 5 yrs ago (all I had for brain) and I got a msg back saying he saw nothing wrong and had no reason to see me. I was devastated. In the meantime a NL sent me for a new brain MRI so I sent it back to Dr Heilman and now I just got a msg with an apt date....so...I pray that it means he sees something!!!!  If that is who you saw...what is your impression?  I have been desperately trying to find someone that will listen and think outside the box as I think my problem is a Chiari 0 but with a retroflexed odontoid I think I'm having basilar invagination issues.  Just hoping he can help.

yes, its a long drive most of the time spent in Boston traffic and finding parking...  sometimes I take the train.  Selma, I forgot to ask them to send me the copies also.  I will have to call now on Monday and see if I can get them to do that.  Thanks for reminding me.  You would think we would all be used to waiting but it never gets easier waiting for results.  thanks for the advice!

  Did u request copies of the CINE and the report to be sent to u as well? If so u should receive it around the same time as ur Dr.

Most testing takes a few days, as the radiologist has to review and write the report b4 sending it.

I just had an US and I was told 2 to 3 business days till my Dr has it...so Mon or Tues for me, results r to be sent to me as well...so I may have them b4 I see my Dr.

  Waiting can be one of the hardest things we do, but it is one thing as a chiarian we have to learn and practice to do.

Normally its 2-3labour days it takes for results.wow 2hours drive for that.call them.i always get on evetybodys nerves otherwise they forget u!!!!good luck and keep us updated.

I wish I could go down there. I live almost 2 hours away and no longer drive. Did it take your dr much longer to call you? Thank you for responding

Im very impatient also! I called  the radiology dept for the radiologist report the next day,  and late the second day mine was ready and I went to the hospital and got a copy.  I probably read it before my doctor! I'm a worry wort, so time isn't my friend! Although the words were hard to decipher what they meant, so..in not sure I benefited from getting it early!
