waiting results

Oh my I hate waiting for results I had my CINE MRI on the 19th why  cant we be told there and then its very silly Im sure the radiographer that do the scans are very well trained to write a report so why cant they tell us.
I keep expecting a phone call to tell me that they got it wrong and I really havent got a Chiari of 6mm.
I m hoping i really dont have to go down the line of decompression surgery it would be my worse nightmare!!!

Im sure these thoughts are normal lol or am i in denial lol because im sure im living some sort of nightmare

Hi..having the 6 mm herniation from chiari is not a sentence to have surgery...but the obstruction of CSF and  overcrowding and symptoms may be...how it impacts ur overall health is more important that the size of the herniation.

No one wants brain surgery...the risks alone r not something that we would choose for ourselves.....but, not having surgery can be just as bad for u if ur chiari is affecting ur overall health.....

Be open, look at all the facts...wait for a true chiari specialist to guide u.

and most of all RELAX : )
