my 2 kids went through phases of eating little else than yoghurts and cheese, my youngest stuck at it for a year or more. I cant remember how long because yes it does get better!! i persisted putting out meals and made them at least sit with it for an appropriate period, made encouraging noises and let them leave when enough was enough. i would refuse any other foods for maybe an hour stating that they didnt eat lunch etc, and therefore would not get anything else. i would then let them have what they wanted cos at least then they had eaten. (a friend if mine stuck to her guns and refused point blank to give anything else and her child ended up in hospital) it is a phase that will come to an end, just try to be patient and not stress too much, he will get lots of goodness from bananas, its not exactly the balanced diet that they recommend, but many kids go through it, just keep up offering alternatives. my kids now eat just about anything btw!! you'll get there x

I agree with Margy that he will get fed up with them after awhile.
In the meantime, I'd give him all the bananas he wants, and stop watching bananas in pajamas.
Have you ever made homemade banana pudding? The kind where you start with real eggs and whole milk, and nilla wafers? Very nutritious and hearty, and it's got those bananas in it he loves.
Maybe lessen the amount each day, they are very healthy food for children to eat,I think he will get fed up with them after a while, introduce an exciting cereal or child yoghort. maybe some cut up apples/grapes, how many does he eat in a day ?
