Unusual eye blinking

My son has been on many asma medications, they all include steriods.  He has also been diagnosed with an allergy to white potatoes.  All of his doctors say this is a tic that he might outgrow.  I don't believe it.  He is well adjusted and has never had anuthing like this before.  Please help.

My son Sean is 7 years old and apart from a couple of asthma episodes always following a chest infection or bad cold he has been very healthy.  He has also suffered quite a few episodes of growing pains which have been confirmed by a pediatric doctor. Just recently we have noticed that he has been blinking  his eyes in an  unsyncronized (as in one after the other)  manner.  Its not all the time but it is noticeable.  Any ideas as to what could be causing this.  He is absolutely fine otherwise.

thanks

Debbie

When you have a child that seems to be having difficulties coping, learning, hyperactivity, emotional, withdrawn, or any other (what you might consider) abnormal behavior - first (I would suggest) you take the child to a licensed Chiropractor.  From birth (being cramped up inside the mothers womb), to the everyday falls, and bumps a child goes through, it it very likely that the flow of oxygen and nutrients throughout the body have been blocked.

If you have always heard bad things about Chiropractic Medicine - It's a Myth...Go to one that actually does
X-rays to determine if such a condition exists.

For Testimonials about The Chiropractor - there is a book:

If your child still seems to be having problems or has been diagnosed as ADD or ADHD - there is help without the side effects of drugs (such as ritalin) "guaranteed".

My husband, 31 yrs old has an eye tic, both eyes. It has been present since childhood. He was tested endlessly and all results were normal. Nobody was ever able to provide a reason for it's presence. It is worse when he is nervous or stressed. I honestly don't notice it anymore. He is normal in every way,a wonderful father, excellent provider and my best friend. My eldest son started this at 1year and his pediatrician said it is not likeley genetic. Turns out his was mimiking his dad. Good luck.

Tic disorders are not necessarily a sign of serious neurological illness. Such tics can be transient and benign, and it is not unusual for them to appear in children who are otherwise healthy. It is certainly not a sign of poor adjustment or of psychological problems. Sometimes tics can occur as side effect of particular medications (e.g., stimulant medications). The tic is not likely related to either his asthma or his food allergy. Ask his doctors if the tic might be a side effect of any medication he is taking.
