13 year old not able to sleep

hi
My 13 year old son is having problems staying asleep.
he is waking up feeling unsafe and hearing noises .
he constantly calls me saying did you hear that ,our bedroom doors always remain open and my bed is only 5steps away from his bed, as he is opposite our room .We also h ave a five year old who  is being disturbed with his calling out there has been no incidences for him to feel unsafe .
He is good at school, and loves going to school.
this has only started in the last 3 weeks and would love advice to nip it in the butt quickly.
i ask him what is the problem and he just says he keeps hearing noises,We dont seem to hear noises
any advice ????

All of the above plus a nightlight, and more physical exercise after school.
