16 yr old boy seeing weird things and hearing screams

my 16 year old boy has told when on a few occasions that he sees nasty ,violent things in his head since he was about 14. when i ask him ,hes reluctant to say much , just that he sees a man with a black mask on ,like in the old days, who chops peoples heads off and rapes and hurts people. this distresses him. the first time i knew about it, i heard banging in his room and went in to find him on the floor banging his head against the bottom of the bed. he is a nice, sensitive boy who gets on with everyone. he says these episodes last about a week and then the masked man tells him when he will be back , normally a few months later. just 2 days ago he saw the film the devil within and he has become real scared and wont be alone in any room. the first time i thought he was a lil strange, was when he was 4 years old and my mum was lookin after him and she phoned me to say he woouldnt stop crying and kept tellin her i wasnt his real mummy, she was blonde(i am dark) and her name was hailey and his dad was x. when i asked him about this,he said the same thing, then said his name was micheal (is not) and a bad man kicked him up the bum then he went flying through the clouds and into my tummy!!  he also said he had an imaginary friend called micheal. im very open to spirituality and just want to help him, he is very musically talented and im worried sick.if anyone has had anything like this happen to them please get in touch. ***@****      thanks

The fact that as you say he is reluctant maybe means he has seen something scary at friends houses ,it happens ,ask him what they watch or do when he is visiting them do they have sleep overs ?More often than not it is something that has upset or had an effect on their mind in my opinion. Is his Dad around for him to have a talk with?.

margypops, in reply to you, i would say if anything ,i have been overprotective with wot he watched and played as a youngster, its only now he is 16 i dont always know what he is watching or doing with his friends at there houses.i dont believe this is the issue here, apart from the latest film that he watched at the cinema. maybe its because he hasnt seen many of this type of thing that it affects him.

I think you need to have him talk to someone.  A 16 year old usually knows these things aren't real and I wonder if he doesn't have something on his mind and is really stressed and just doesn't know it.  Sounds like a great kid.  Help him know while he is under 18 and can get him to get help.  He has too many creative things to do to let this stop him in any way.  Goodluck!
