18 month old tantrum

My daugther is 18 month old, she is a happy girl, always smiling and very sociable, but today just before bed time she started crying uncontrolable, throwing everything from her crib to the floor, didn't allow me or her father be next to her or talk to her, and all of this "tantrum" last about 15 to 20 minutos,i would like to know if this is  a normal behavior at this age and how to handled, please, we were desperated.Thank's, tere.

This is absolutely normal for her age, lilkely prompted by tiredness. The most helpful approach is to allow the child to calm down without a lot of interaction. It's sort of like thunderstrom that has to pass before you would venture outside. Wait until things are calm.

Tere, This is normal behavior. The best thing you can do is to just stay calm and tell her you love her and that you will be back when she is done. The more attention you give her during a tantrum the more often she will do them. By ignoring them and letting them know that it does not bother your routine they will stop. I am on my thrid child.  Just be strong and consistant. Do not spank if all possible. If she does to you in a store just pick her up remove her from the store you can always go shopping later. Regardless if its groceries.Hope this helps.
