2 year old behavior

My two year old will throw a temper tantrum during meal time and won't eat anything until she gets a food she wants, or she will get so upset she won't eat at all. Is there a better approach besides punishment or ignoring her until she calms down?

My son struggles with certain foods, and his Occupational Therapist says this is often due to sensory problems.

He's almost three, and he won't eat most meat unless it's fish sticks, chicken nuggets, spaghetti meat sauce, or hamburgers.

You might look into it.

He was in O.T. because he was a little behind (he was born premature).

Be sure you do not defer to the tantrum. Your responsibility is to serve the food. Do not engage in a struggle about whether or not she eats the food. Mother Nature will take care of the rest.
