2 yr old hallucinating

Recently, my 2 yr old daughter has been more difficult than normal to take her naps and get to sleep at night.  For the last week, she has awoken at night screaming that there are bugs all over her and her crib.  Last night she awoke at 3:45am and did not go back to sleep.  She claimed that there were bugs on her, the walls and her crib. She screamed every time she was placed back in her crib.  We took her up to our bed, but she wouldn't fall back asleep.  I've read that manic-depression could cause this.  I'd like to know if this is normal behaviour or should we look into this more.  She is very afraid of bugs and has been for some time. But the hallucinations are new.

She might be having night terrors about bugs.   Many young children have them

Do you think that someone could have spoken to her about bugs, any movie or book she could have seen been read to , has she older siblings or babysitters?
