3 yeard old off behavior

My 3 year old daughter hit a preschool mate in the head with a rock and he had to be taken to emergency care to be stapled. She cried and showed remorse and apoligized to the child the next day. However, two days later her teacher said that she poked another child at nap time until she cried and that she usually does "good" but has some hyper moments. Should I think about behavior therapy for her?

Did she get punished for doing this? If so what kind of punishment? Did she get suspended? Fighting cartoons will not cause a child to throw a rock at someones head.

Yes, she is. Does it sound like it? She's been at this preschool since she's 20 month old and she has always been a litlle touchy, but not to the extent that she got to with the rock. I thought abiut tv, sometimes she'll watch those cartoons for older kids with fights. But my concern is that this is just her personality. I am doing a chart for her and telling her everyday that she needs to be nice to her friends...but it's overwhelming and I feel that I need help too.

Is she the only child? Has she being around other kids before? Is this the first time or has she had problems before? 3 yr olds are still very young, they are still learning what's wrong, good, bad. Remind her every day that is not nice to hurt other people, that you don't do that to her, but if that continous then it might be a good idea to check with a counselor. Do you think that maybe she saw that on tv or other people around her.
