humm a few squealers and a few growlers ...well I had a growler in my family I called him tiger ....till he became a Jason he growled at an early age ... still does come to think of it a few moons later ...lol
by the screaming once they notice that their voice change they started to make high pitch noise low pitch then started to make sounds like mm and dd now they say mama dada gaga lala dodo oh and ee and hi. They try to mimic me when i talk to them like yesterday trying to get them to say banana they just said ba but they try.
my sister actually never growled she just kept saying that it was the tiger in her (since their born year of the tiger) from what i know she never had ear infections today shes going to the doctor and figured she'd ask them to check. but she dosnt say ooo or aaah nothing just growl grunts and throws a screaming tantrum.
could your sister or her child be growling ' I still think she has learned it even at this young age ... good Luck
In rereading, I don't have any idea what this means, "well suprisingly my boys they have never growled or grunt like she does they scream changes pitch and started to make sounds"
What does that mean? What does "scream changes pitch and started to make sounds" mean?
If your boys also had an unusual path toward language, like screaming instead of cooing, it may be that your niece is also unusual like that.
I'm concerned for her hearing. A baby that age should be doing some "oooo" sounds. When you quietly say "ooooh", she should say that back.
Has she had chronic ear infections?
I don't think I've ever heard a baby that age "growling".
well suprisingly my boys they have never growled or grunt like she does they scream changes pitch and started to make sounds. so when my sister and her daughter moved in with us its the first time i heard the growling
no absolutely normal, shes only 4 months old lol get some girls around her , if you watch you will see the boys encouraging it, maybe even taught her to growl LOL
