6 Year old pooping regression

My son, who has had issues in the past with pooping (it took us from when he was 3 1/2 to 5 yrs to get consitency in this area), has started pooping in his pants again. I have read the articles, and there's been no major change in lifestyle, no new baby siblings etc. When I ask him why, he says pooping on the potty is boring. We're trying to stay positive, but it's pretty hard.

Does he get on well with everyone in his Family is he doing enough with Dad ,school okay, when does he Poop at school ,at Home? Check out what else is going on in his life does he like and get on with the Kids at school and friends.

I am wondering if you have your son get regular physicals?  My daughter gets one every year.  Asking the pediatrician questions can be so helpful.  At one point in my daughters life she loved eating eggs, all of a sudden she would not touch them.  The pediatrian assured me that it was normal and there taste buds change with age.
