6 year old daughter's buttt hurts

My daughter was laying down and said when she went to the bathroom it hurt. So i checked her butt and it was really red. Later that day she went bathroom again and said that when she pooped it really hurt. She went to lay down and when she woke up she was crying because it hurt so bad . i called the doctor and said that there was nothing they could.
     Does anyone know whats going on or what to do ?

I would say she is constipated or 'chapped' perhaps some vaseline or desitin would be good, also If the poop is large it is sometiomes difficult  for a child to 'go, make sure she has a good healthy diet of fruit & veg maybe fruit juice to keep it soft enough for her to pass without hurting.
