My daughter is 13 years old and she has been diagnized with ADD & ADHD. She is on 'Adderall' and 'Ciprelex'. I dont know if it is the medication or it is just the ADD that she gives me a lot of trouble. I do not know how to deal with it and would appreciate some feed back. There are days that it gets really bad and does not listen to a thing she is told, she screams and cries so all the neighbours could hear. there have been times that she has hit my head on the wall and pushed me on the floor.  I am her mother and 55 years and I have no way of correcting her - I went to councellors and not got any advice. please help. She is also obeise, 197 lbs.

Thank you.

Thank you Dr. Kevin Kennedy, My daughter was seen last week by her physciatrist and the next time she has an appointment is in October but on receiving your email I am trying to get an earlier appointment so that I could discuss this with him. I feel as if I am loosing my mind as I do not know how to deal with her and cannot take the stress anymore.

Thank you.

ADHD is likely the least of her problems.  I imagine the Cipralex has been prescribed because of her emotional (mood) disorder, but if she is acting in such an aggressive fashion she may well need a mood stabilizing medication. She should be re-evaluated.
