Eye blinking 7 yrs old

Hello,
This is my first time on ur web site. I have been trying to find answers for my childs eye problem. PLEASE HELP.
My son is 7 years old. He has started blinking his eyes rapadly for the past three weeks now. He keeps saying there is some dust that covers his eyes. His vision seems to be good. I tried to make him read from a distance and he seem to do well in that. He has been swimming for the last six weeks (once a week), without swimming googles. Would that lead to blinking of eyes? I have also noticed along with blinking of his eyes,  he has been making faces as if he is trying to see clearly with his eye and moves his head in some kind of a pattern.. left to right or right to left, also brings his cheeks closer to his eyes. He does have sinsus  / cold sometimes..would this be the reason. I am really worried. PLEASE , PLEASE Help me.
Thank you,
Regards

My son glances downward on purpose.  I've talked to him about it, and he says it's a habit.  He also said sometimes he does it 3 times in a row, and if he bumps his shoulder on something he has to go back and bump the other one.  Are these 2 things tics, OCD, ones a tic...one's OCD, or what?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
As a first step, you should have your son evaluated medically, rather than try to speculate about what might be occurring. It is possible that he has been experiencing some irritation from the chemicals in the swimming water. It is also possible that he is displaying some tics, or involunatry motor movements (such as eye blinking, twitching of facial muscles, movement of the neck). If the behaviors are diagnosed as tics, the doctor will likely refer your son to a pediatric neurologist.
