A few years ago no one labelled children with anything because they "day dreamed" I did it all the time I would stare out of the window when I was bored, the Teacher used to chuck his piece of chalk at me, often hittin me on the head it is a shame they feel they have to mention ADD for what seems to be normal childhood behavior, however I know as Parents you have to do what you think is best so if you are concerned a visit to the Doctor will be good, she may benefit from a multiple vitamin-mineral supplement with antioxidants ,BComplex and Vit C also Fish oil has been found to help.
Hi. I am having a similar situation, but my child is 7 and in the 2nd grade. I noticed as a toddler she would zone out. We could call them starring episodes. I thought it was normal and she was just bored. Well now in 2nd grade, her zoning out is affecting her work and she is not completing assignments or leaving things blank. She is very disorganized and forgets things or tasks esily. We are suspect of ADD, but are taking her to a doctor (11/20) for a discussion on if this is a possibilty.
I would consult her doctor and also remember that she is young!
Good luck and take care!
