My 22-month-old grandson ALWAYS makes small scribbles in each of the 4 corners of EVERY blank piece of paper he is given to draw on, as well as typical scribbles on the rest of the page. I am wondering what, if anything, this might say about him.
WOW I THINK THATS NEAT I THINK IT SHOWS THAT HE HAS ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS IF HE IS ABLE TO COLOR EACH CORNER EVERY TIME.ALSO CHILRENS DRAWINGS USUALLY REPRESENT THEMSELVES.AND IF HE IS CONSISTENT IN THESE DRWAINGS HE COULD BE SHOWING THAT HES SECURE RIGHT NOW IN HIS LIFE MEANING HIS LIFE IS SECURE AND CONSISTANT
I wasn't worried. On the contrary, I thought it might be something positive. I thought it was a little unusual. Had not come across that in other experiences. Still interested if other readers have noted this in their children. Thanks.
There's no need to be worried. This behavior does not represent anything atypical or unusual. It's entirely within the bounds of what might be expected from an almost-two-year-old. Dr. KDK
