Ask the doctors why their diagnosis are different than the others. Ask them how the differences could be clarified. Has your son had comprehensive psychological testing, including IQ testing, testing of neuropsychological functioning, academic testing as well as personality testing? If not within the past 2 years, then it should be done by someone experienced (not an intern). Often that can help clarify diagnoses. In the end, unfortunately, medicine is not en exact science, and psychiatry even less so than other branches of medicine. You need to find a qualified, competent child psychiatrist whom you trust and work with that person over time to find the things that help you son the most. Don't give up hope. Keep talking to your son about his strengths and how to work on his problems behaviors, and get support for yourself during the very difficult time. Everyone in the family needs to keep working on this until you get the right approach. Good luck.

Why do you keep switching? I assume whatever they diagnose him with (and medicate or treat him for) isn't working?  I have no idea what you could do but obviously, a second, third, and fourth opinion isn't helping.   Has he seen a doctor/pediatrician? Perhaps they could point you in the right direction.  I sure hope his behavior gets better.
