My 3 yr old is mean!

Recently my 3 yr old has been going to a psychiatrist and they gave him clonidine for ADHD, he's on the smallest possible dose!  It seems to help slow him down but he's still downright mean!!!  He doesnt think twice about pulling hair, hitting, pinching, and even biting. Adults and other children.  Most of the time he does it when he thinks he is being restrained or when another child is too close, giving him a look or trying to take something away from him.  He is such a bully!!  He still doesn't talk very well and see's a speech therapist, he has a developmental delay of almost a year.  He just doesn't get sharing or taking turns etc. and most kids don't like him or want to play with them b/c they know he may pick the toy up and crack them with it!  I'm at wits end!!  Dr. is going to see him again in 2 weeks and until then he told me to increase the dose from 1/4 of a pill to 1/2 pill twice daily, I'm also afraid he's going to sleep all day and night, I don't want him to be a zombie, b/c when he is nice, he is so sweet!!!  He doesn't really care to interact with others though, adults will talk to him and he just squaks at them, he is definitely not a people person AT ALL!!!

I agree with the above post this child is too young to be on thsese meds my opinion also ...

I would seek a second opinion on his ADHD diagnosis.  A 3 year old really shouldn't be diagnosed as such.  Nearly all toddlers exhibit all (or nearly all) of the symptoms of ADHD - that is their nature.  I can't say I agree with medicating a 3 year old for ADHD either, but that is my personal thought and I am not a medical professional.  

Some of the symptoms you referred to don't occur with ADHD - which is why I think seeking a second opinion would be helpful to you.
