My baby isn't interested in solids!?

My baby WON'T eat!!!  I have a 12 month old baby boy who is either a really picky eater or he just doesn't enjoy it.  He's close to being off the formula and moving on to whole milk.  This worries me because, as of now, this is his main source of nutrients.  There are times that he'll graze throughout the day but only a bit here and there.  I mean literally, a couple of bites.  It's frustrating because I go out of my way to make him a nice meal and I end up throwing it out.  I can't begin to tell you how much food goes to waste.  I've tried chicken nuggets, fish sticks, avocado, turkey, cheese, sweet potato, pudding, muffins, and Hell, even cake.  What child won't eat cake!?  Believe me, the list goes on.  He has his 12 month doctor visit next week.  I've brought this up to his pediatrician and he doesn't seem concerned at the moment.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Any advice?  I REALLY need any advice that other women used that seemed to help.  Thanks!

see heres the thing stop the 'grazing ' you are taking his appetite away, maybe a little snack during the day, and do you let him eat by himself they do like to be independant place the food infront of him and let him eat ...also the formula is filling him so best cut back on that somewhat ask your ped about the milk ,how much plus the solid food, you dont want him over weight ..good luck
