Pain after Bowel movement (toddler)

My 22 month grandaughter always cries like she is in pain after she has a bowel movement, her bottom area is kinda red after she goes. she is always changed right away and usualy given a bath after, this seems to help. she sometimes and wont let us put a diaper back on her and always pulls at it if we do put it back on. I have looked online and cant find anything.

She could be constipated how is her diet plenty of veg /fruit also try fruit juice, cereal, it is possible the stool is large and hard to push out , her doctor may have an idea of something to give her to soften it, make it easier for her.
