I cannot comment further because my area of expertise is child and adolescent emotional developemnt, diagnosis and treatment of emotional disorders, ADHD, developmental problems, etc. Beyond what I already indicated re: pneumatocele (often occurs as result of pneumonia) I cannot go further. But talk with her doctor about the implications of these various radiology opinions and what should happen now. The CT scan make ssense in light of the various possible diagnoses. It will make clearer what is occurring in her chest and abdomen.

Thanks doctor. My baby son's dob is 22nd sept 2009.23rd september he started having breathing problem.Doctor adviced us to get it x-rayed.first x- ray result was "consolidation right lung ---? Pneumonitis.Again we did another x-ray on 26th sept but this time as per the another radiologist it was "interposition of colon between right dome of diaphragm and liver ---Chiladiti Syndrome" and again on 7th feb 2010 we have done another x-ray and this time another radiologist says - ?post infective pneumatocele. Now doctor is saying we should go for CT Scan of Lungs and abdomen.
Please put some lights on this .Will be greatful to you doctor

They most often occur due to pneumonia, though they can occur due to other conditions as well. Generally treatment of the original condition (e.g., treating pneumonia with antibiotics) is the course to follow, and they resolve after a while with no other intervention. Be sure to speak with your son's doctor about what caused the condition and what the course of treatment will be.
