Quirks in 6yr old

Hello. I have a daughter who will be 6 tomorrow. She is adopted from Guatemala and been with us since 10 months old. She always had anxiety issues and was very shy. Now she is in K and doing great. She takes Karate and has done t-ball. She is very smart and exceeds in school. She does great in karate and t ball. Enjoys everything. Has tons of friends and always smiling. She does not give us any trouble than the normal 6 yr old does. Only punishment used is time out. The thing is she has these quirks that always show up and they change from time to time. A couple of wks ago she was clearing her throat all the time. Now she is blinking her eyes all the time enough were her teacher called and they sent her to the nurse to be checked. Im just lost as the teacher said she has no problems at all.
Any ideas why this is happening and what to do?

It is likely she is displaying what is called transient tic disorder, which is a benign condition. But you should not assume this. Have her evaluated by her doctor; he/she may refer her to a pediatric neurologist. The preference for toys and playmates is not related to the tic behavior.

Also not sure if this has anything to do with it but she has no interest in most girl things. Every toy has to be a boy toy. Does not like any baby dolls. Besides dressing like a girl but hates dresses and like having her nails painted she likes everything a boy does and gets a long with boys better even though she does have girl friends and plays with them.
