My son is 9 and is very very intelligent especially maths. he is such a lovely sensitive loving boy. However he is constantly worrying and wanting to know what is happening. He repeats himself all the time and constantly reminds me of the things we have 2 do that day, as he worries ill forget. He finds it difficult to wait his turn when speaking and sometimes has to dance around throwing his arms etc till its his turn to talk. He also has 2 get his point accross there and then and gets very annoyed when told please be quite, wait ya turn etc even to punching himself in the head.
He looks at alot of things like an adult and explains like an adult, constantly worrying if im ok and what he can do to help etc.
Despite his obvious intelligence his teacher says he is slowly falling behind at school. Always talking always very loud ( already had a hearing test which was fine.) We have had spates of me having to restrain him when he is banging his head off things but these are not 2 often. Alot of the behaviour is like he is going through puberty, bad attitude, wnt eat properly, argumentative, disobedient, i just worry that he could have an actual behavioual problem ?
