Behaviors such as breaking into a home and destroying property warrant specialized intervention. Arrange a mental health evaluation ASAP - do not attempt to resolve this matter solely at home.
Kids with ADHD often have aggression and conduct problems. Kyle's was solved by adding essential fatty acids to his diet. He has used Efalex since May 1999, but there are other good EFA products on the market that can improve behavior. The key seems to get 480 mg DHA per day along with the other Omega-3 fatty acids (specifically long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids). Kyle also needs AA and Efalex is one of the few EFA products that constains AA.
Symptoms of an EFA deficiency are dry itchy skin, vision problems at an early age, excessive thirst, dyslexia, dyspraxia, eczema and psoriasis, and behavior problems. If you want to learn more about essential fatty acids, you can go to the Natural Treatments board at conductdisorders.com and to the ADHD board at braintalk.org. You can also go to lcpsoltuion.com. Two good books on essential fatty acids are "The LCP Soltuion" by Jacqueline Stordy and Malcomn Nicholl and "The ADD Nutrition Solution" by Marcia Zimmerman. You can go to PubMed and get studies (the Purdue study is the most famous one) that show that a lot of ADHD kids have this deficiency; do a search using "essential fatty acids" and "Omegaa-3"
