My son has been going through the same thing with the waking at night he just turned 14 months old when he usually sleeps 12 hours strait. Instead of hair pulling he grinds his teeth the doctor mentioned him doing this to ease the pain of teething. He just got his top two molars and now the bottom are coming through. Perhaps the hair pulling is distracting her from teething pain? Just a thought. I personally do not bring my son to bed with me. I keep everything dark, check is diaper, give him some cool water, rock him a bit, then back to his bed when he is calm. Last night I did this 3 times. Hope I can get a good night sleep tonight. Best of luck to you :)
Yes it is an ongoing habit best to see if it can be 'nipped in the bud' its a way of soothing herself, perhaps good to introduce a teddy or a blankie she may use that to soothe .It would be better not to put her into the bed with you that is another little habit they get into , however if you don't mind her in your bed it is in my opinion okay .Above you will see the link Hair pulling and eating..Dr Kennedy has some words to say about it ..
