My daughter

Hi. My daughter is not sexually active and she has just recently seen a doctor for a physical and she said she was normal and healthy. She also asked her. Somewhere on her vaginal area there is a bump. But it doesnt hurt or feel like anything. Her doctor said she had nothing ot worry aobut it was just a side effect from her period, etc. Her doctor says its normal and most girls get that also. Please answer this again for her. She is still worried.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
This Forum addresses questions about child and teen behavior, not about pediatric medical issues. So I can't comment on the particulars of the medical finding. However, teens are very conscious of their bodies and are sometimes reticent to be reassured. Do you know what your daughter is worried about? Is she worried about STD? Why is it that she is reluctant to accept the doctor's suggestion?

Actually she is not worried as much. I just thought. YOu being a doctor could answer her as a second answer. But no she is not worried about STD because she is not sexually active and her doctor said it was normal as long as it doesn't hurt. But do you think its normal?
