Constant sniffing

My son is 8. Recently he had a case of acute sinuses and since then he cannot stop sniffing every two seconds. We went to ENT and he said that it is habitual and I need to talk to him. I did and he tells me he is annoyed himself since other kids in school pointed his sniffing  out to him but he says he cannot control it. I tried everything sprays, saline water, constant blowing nose. What shall I do?

Give it time.  If he's still doing this in another month,  it will be time to address it again.
