my 5 year old refuses to poop

I hope this is the right place. My 5 year old Daughter will not poop. I know that she has to go and we have tryed everything ( colace - stool softener, senokot - laxative, Glycerin suppositories and even castor oil ) and nothing works. We have take her to the Dr's and he said that she just needed some help to go and that once she starts she will continue to go but she hasnt she went good for about a month and then she went back to her old ways of holding it in. I am getting a little worried now because when she was about 7 months old untill she was 2 she has bowl trouble from a blockage that lasted 8 months ( the dr said it would pass ) to infections of the bowl ( she was on meds for about 4 and 1/2 month for that. I dont want her going through that again and I am worried that she may get another blockage is there anything else I could do to get her to go? I was thinking maybe if I gave her benifiber everyday that would help? please suggest anything you might think would help I am desprate to find a soluion thank you.

Yes, call the doctor.  If she has a blockage she would be sick, probably throwing up, etc.  One month is a long time. Sometimes children don't go when they need to and then it becomes hard and difficult to get out.  (impaction).  I would call the pediatrician again.  Maybe you should go to a GI doctor.

If she doesn't have a blockage----  my son fights constipation.  We cut back on milk first.  Then we increased fruit and fruit juice.  Of course, some fiber in the diet is good too-----  cereal for breakfast?  But this has held off constipation for my son.  He can still revert back if he does't get enough fruit/fruit juice----  or has too much milk.
good luck-----  but do go to a doctor, one month without a bowel movement is alarming.

You need to go back to the doctor right away.  I wouldn't attempt anything else without their help and expert opinion.  If she has a blockage, that can become a medical emergency.
