my five year old

I have a five year old daughter that acts out. She pushes, she hits, she also runs around not listening to the teacher. She puts pencils in her hair. She eats crayons, pencils, eraser, etc. I don't know what caues this kind of behavior. I haved tried timeouts and take her toys away when acts like this. I have also tried grounding her, where she can't go outside to play with the other kids. Seems like nothing works. What could be causing this kind of behavior and what can I do to help her get better. I'm at the end of my rope with her behavior!

Sounds like she might have PICA. This condition causes the individual to eat things that are generally not considered food. Have you talked to her pediatrician about this?
