I pick at the huge amount of dead skin on the bottom of my feet.  I try to get a pedicure every now and then, which helps with the dryness.  I don't pick at it until it bleeds, though.

My mother-in-law had lupus with the side effect of sores on her scalp.  I found a shampoo containing Tea Tree Oil that worked well for her.  Health food stores are a good place for this.  Try to stay away from Sodium Laurel Sulfate, as it is an ingredient in many of these shampoos that cause more harm than good.

Good luck and God bless

Yes! I thought I was the only one out there who picks on the soles of their feet. It started when I was pregnant, I thought my body was lacking in some nutrient causing my soles to be dry and cracked. But it has continued, my youngest being 3 years old. I pick at them so much my children try to stop me! I have the same problem with scabs. It takes months for mosquito bites or cuts to heal because I can't seem to leave them alone. I never realized I had such a compulsive problem till today when I was looking for a resolve to my 3 year olds scabby scalp. Recently though I have been using HTN's Ellagiderm cream and it's been healing my feet and sores so maybe I can get a grip on this. As for scabby scalps I found on one forum where a man said he quit using shampoos and conditioners and let's God's built in natural defenses do their work by washing his hair every day with just water. After a week or two it is wonderful. I believe I'll try this on my son, maybe even on myself!
