simian line on right hand

Hi there, i have a 4 year old daughter who has a simian line on her right hand, she has extreme behavior problems, and violent tantrums, she has disturbed sleep etc, is there a link between a simian line and these issues? She has always had behavior issues etc but the older she gets the more extreme they are, she will not sit still and is always adjitated, she will not take any form of dicapline at home or at nursery, although she is very intelligent for her age the nursery want to keep her back a year because of her behaviour and lack of concentration, i have done a ADHD test online and it states that she is on the spectrum for ADHD but i do think that this has more to do with her having a simian line. Does anybody have any advice or answers or similar problem?

My nephew was like this and they prescribed rittlan (sp?) and changed his life for the better. The earlier he  start taking it the better. Was a total transformation. Im not saying thats what he needs but only throwing this out there.

when she was born they said that she didnt have down syndrome and that her simian line was genetic (from her dads side) he has a nephew with similar problems who also has 1 simian line and his cousins daughter has extreme behavior problems and she also has 1 simian line, his nephew is 7 and his cousins daughter is 5, i have a appointment with GP in a few days for my daughter. thanks for your help.

Hi Pod and welcome, Sorry your going through this. A simian crease is a single palmar crease as compared to two creases in a normal palm. Simian crease occurs in about 1 out of 30 normal people, but is also frequently associated with other conditions such as Down syndrome, Aarskog syndrome or fetal alcohol syndrome.

Has she been diagnosed with any of the above? If not it says 1 out of 30 normal people have it.
