I think that children get into habits that are comfort habits and believe it or not, rubbing ears of a parent is something I've read kids doing here before. If it isn't bothering either of them, don't say anything. That usually sorts itself as kids get older. Seven is still a very young child. My son has held my hand for years and uses his thumb to rub my palm. I don't even think he is aware of it. He does it less and less now as he's older. But it always was just a thing he did from toddler hood on. Don't view her as a 'woman' doing womanly things to her father. Or him allowing it. This is the remnant of little things toddlers do. You probably will need to get used to their closeness and even intimacy (not sexual). Do you have kids of your own? If you do, you likely have little things you do with your kids that are innocent little signs that they are your baby. :>) good luck
