Sexual molestation?

I have a brother who is 7 years older and when we were children we - I also have an older sister- had instances of sexual contact fondling and oral.  I believe I was about 10 when this happened, only twice that I recall.  I am 43 now and all this time I labled myself as a victim of molestation.  Is it normal for this to occur between siblings?

I know it happened to me. My brother is 5 years older and my sister is 2 years older than me. I know there was touching and fondling going on when I was a kid. I think my mom left us alone way too much. Now that I look back I think my brother should have been old enough to know better. You would think. But I'm not about to let it ruin my life. I know we were all kids and that's how I viewed it, just kids being sexually curious.
Like I said, I don't think about it much anymore. There's enough problems in life. I don't like to dwell on the past.
I just read an article on Elizabeth Smart in People's magazine. I like how she's dealing with her kidnapping incident that happened in 2002. She doesn't dwell on it. She's living in the present. She doesn't want it to affect her anymore and give that power to the people who did that to her. If you get a chance, read the article. I was impressed with how she's handled the whole thing.
I know you're probably wondering what that has to do with this. They didn't dwell on it too much but I remember when it first happened they did suspect that she'd been sexually molested. She's incredibly strong, though. She's come out of this even stronger.
Don't let this incident in your life drag you down. Don't let it give you that much power. Go on and live your life to the best of your ability. If you do need to talk to a therapist for awhile, then do it. But keep looking forward.
Best wishes.

If you find you are worrying about it maybe a trip to a therapist wouldnt hurt or someone you could talk about your feelings about the incidents.

It seems to happen a lot in Familys, usually an older sibling is the Perpetrator, and leads them on , I think if it only lasted  awhile and you all grew up okay and you say it only happened twice just forget it, as I said its heard of a lot , read some of the Posts .
