Son refuses to eat--HELP

Hello, I have a 2-1/2 year old son who hasn't eaten since he was 6 months old. I have had him to a paediatric dietician and tried the things that were suggested to me with no luck. He would eat 2-3 jars of baby food at a sitting when he was 6 months old. Then one day when I was trying to feed him, he clamped his mouth shut, turned his head and it has been a struggle ever since. He will occasionally eat crackers or chicken nuggets, but he won't even bite the nugget, he just holds it in his hands and mauls it around in his mouth until is gets soggy and then he doesn't want it anymore. I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of and he still refuses to eat. He talks about food and as soon as he mentions it, I give it to him and he just holds it, he won't even put it near his mouth. When he does it something like rice cakes, he will only have a bite and then wants another one. It is like he has a phobia of textures or something...I have no idea what to do. When he was born he was 10lbs, 1 oz, and was always in the high percentiles until he was a year old. Now he is in the 25th for weight. He is skinny but has alot of energy and seems happy. Would a child psychologist be able to help or where should I turn? What should I do? He is still on his formula and I have tried taking that away to get him hungry enough to eat but he refuses. He needs some kind of nutrients, I am scared. I am also tired of people telling me "my child only ate weiners (or whatever) until he was 3"...my child doesn't eat ANYTHING!!!!!! Please, I need some suggestions, I don't know what to do.

My son used to do this. he's 2 1/2 - 26lbs.. and all of a sudden it got a lil better.

My biggest problem now is with Milk-- so I try to get him to eat yogurt during the day.. and if he wont... I do ice cream at night .. and even sometimes he doesn't want that

My son loves baby carrots and ranch dressing.. he sits in his chair and says "dip, dip, dip" have you tried them? My son likes that he's a big boy and can dip them. Sometiems he only dips but most of the time he'll eat some.
what else.. putting cereal like trix... something that has a lot of taste in a bowl.. with some milk. ummm if you try streak(plain- no salt or pepper)- cut it up in fine pieces and try a1. umm. Tristan will eat the cheese hot dogs sometimes but only if i give him  mustard and ketchup ( and most of the time i have to make it a game... i can eat faster than you... OR mommy has one.. tristan has one.. ) Lets see what else. If you make pork- you can try to A1 as well. You can try some Mozz string cheese . Tristan loved that he could pull the cheese (but not anymore.. haha) ummm he will do the crackers IF i get the ones that have  the red stick and the cheese section on the side. The only way he'll eat veggies is if they are like boiled. try frozen peas- put alil butter in them. Also with the milk in the cereal if he won't eat it... let him put a tiny bit of sugar on it. LOL i know it sounds crazy- but i put a tiny bit on a spoon for tristan and he loves that HE put it on himself... and he eats it-- i'll only do this when he refuses.. Try broccoli with velvita cheese. humm what else. OK yeah thats all i can think of. I know everything doesn't seem that healthy. Its kinda like bribery we have to do sometimes but at least some of it has some nutrient before we kill it with other stuff LOL.

hope that helps a little bit

My son is in the same boat, he's 2 1/2 and 26lbs. Won't eat at all. I spend most of my day trying to think of new things, old things, ANYTHING for him to eat. He refuses everything, even stuff he used to like. Have you gotten any more information??
