My child doesn't eat carbs

I am at the end of my tether and don't know what to do, need some helpful advice.
I am a single mum to my 5 year old daughter. For the last 4 or 5 months her eating habits have been terrible. She doesn't eat bread, potatoes, pasta or rice...therefore she is getting no carbs...she doesn't seem to be lacking in energy but I'm extremely worried about her. I've tried explaining to her that we need food t give us energy and that she needs to eat else she'll get poorly. I have tried putting small amounts (ie One potato) on her plate and encouraged her and offered rewards but to no avail. Please help me. She used to be such a good eater as a baby but this just cant continue

Her weight is just over the 25th percentile and her height is just under the 75th percentile for her age. She is considered normal for her age. Carbohydrates are found in dairy foods (milk, yogurt, and cheese), fruits, and vegetables. There is sugar (lactose) in dairy foods along with protein which our bodies breaks down to glucose to use. I realize it is not the ‘traditional’ food sources of carbohydrates, however, if she is consuming these foods daily, then she is getting carbohydrates. If you are very concerned, suggest increase the intake of the above foods. Try reintroducing slowing in the next few months. Sometimes it takes 5-9 times to introduce a food that they will accept, however, if they do not want it you have to not make a fuss and let it go.

All kids will go thru phases where they will only eat certain foods, and this is normal.  It sounds like she is healthy with lots of energy, so she is fine.  Mention it to her pediatrician at her next visit for reassurance. You're doing the right thing in continuing to offer these foods, and she will again start eating them.  Being a good eater as a baby seems to give them a good foundation to get thru these periods, so try and relax for now.
