My son was a picky eatter and when I made say meatloaf, i would have him right in there with me, cracking the eggs, mixing things up, and i'll tell ya it worked so great, it was the biggest deal when his dad came home and he showed him what he did and he ate it too...
hunting and fishing he loves to do it, House rule, you hunt it you eat it, you fish it you eat it. he ate and he did it... Pizza this kid would not eat pizza to save his life, wanted to go to chucky cheese, he was told "sorry you cant go, you won't eat pizza, he ate it loved it..
my son is 6 and a half now and still picky, but not as bad, he really started when he was your dtr's age.. one thing i still can not get him to eat is mashed potatoes, he will start gagging when they hit his mouth.
Your daughter is about within normal range for weight and in normal range for height for her age. One of the main foods to go with picky eaters is vegetables and fruits. Engage her with preparation of food. Have her help you set the table or do something for the meal. Children love to be a part of making food. Relax at meals and let her eat what she wants. Slowly introduce new foods, and if she does not want it, do not make a fuss over it. Let it go and enjoy your meal. Try again in a few months. Thank you for your question.
