My son doesnt want to eat

Hi
I wanted to know how would i be able to make my son eat what i cook?. He doesnt like rice and beans, he doesnt like mashed potatos, vegetables, spaguettis, its driving me nuts. I try to make him eat but then he gags like he wants to throw up. He's a very picky child. What can i do? I want him to eat so he can get all the nutrients he needs but its verry diffcult to make him eat.

Thank u
Melissa

is he taking multi-vitamins ? and even with that he has to be eating so he can absorb the fat and water soluable micro-nutrients and macro-nutrients. have you tried to ask him what does he want to eat ? like pizza or mexican food etc... then try to bond in the kitchen by making his favorites the start to introduce him to "new things" that have small portions of the ingrediants that he doesnt like!
let me know please im very interested in this issue!

Maybe you should try asking him what foods he likes to eat and maybe then he will eat.  There is also a book by Jerry Seinfield's wife called Deceptively Delicious that shows you how to incorporate veggies and other healthy foods into foods that children will like to eat.  You can probably look at some of the recipes online.  I know many kids that are picky eaters and hopefully this phase won't last.  Good luck and let me know when you find something that works.

Would you state his weight (in kg or lbs) and his height so I am able to answer your question properly. Would you also state some foods that he will eat. Thank you.
