Trouble w/ Textures

My daughter has had acid reflux since she was 2 months old, she ahs been on meds since then as well.  She is now 14 months and still on jar food (2nd Stage).  Everytime we try table food she gags n sometimes spit up. We see a speech therapist n she is great but, i jst hate that my daughter is not eating our food.  I have tried alot of stuff.  She likes ice cream, mash potatoes (from Ryans a resturant), she does ok w/ our cereal chewed up.  I need to know what i can do to get her on table food w/out gaggin.

The speech thearpist has just been trying to get her used to textures and techniques we can do to help her get used to textures, like a toothbrush, when we feed her to push down on the tongue, stuff like that.  I tried cheerios soaked in milk and my oatmeal that i eat last night and today and she jst gagged and it was a very small bit...  Thank you for responding back. :)

Her weight is just below the 25th percentile and her height is on the 25th percentile for her age which indicates she is normal. Is the speech therapist teaching your daughter how to chew? Some children just do not know how to chew and need to be taught. They need to learn how to chew and swallow food properly; it is not really an instinct behavior like sucking. She has to be evaluated on how to chew food so she can eat regular foods.
