What is "cognitive developmental delay?"
Is this under autism umbrella? My 3 y/o daughter was evaluated by early intervention and I don't understand what this means or how to help her.
Ahh, I'm sure sorry about that diagnosis. Hard on a mama! You should start seeing a developmental pediatrician to help get guidance. There are things that this would fit better with called pervasive developmental delay. Autism has a lot to do with communication and language. I'm not sure without any details what your child's issues are. Are they in the area of learning disabilities? What is your daughter presenting with? What was going on to make you have her evaluated?
