can back pain cause pain under the jaw and sides of neck?

I have a pinched sciatic nerve in my back for the past 15 years.Im not sure what i lifted last week but i do lift alot of things but anyway for the last week i have been getting pain on the sides of my neck and also a sharp shooting pain under my jaw on both sides that comes and goes during the day many times.is it possible that my back problem could be causing the shooting pain that comes and goes under my jaw?i dont ahve any bad teeth so i know its not my teeth.Im pretty sure that pain on that sides of my neck is from my back but what about the under the jaw pains that comes and go can back pain cause this at all?

Back pain won't cause neck/jaw pain, but neck/jaw pain can cause back pain. The effects of gravity apply forces downward. It sounds to me like it could be a problem in the upper cervical area (top of the neck), just beneath the skull.
