Are there any other medications besides statins to lower cholesterol?

Hello and welcome to the forum.  Thanks for your question.  It's a good one. Statins have really become the gold standard of therapy for lowering cholesterol as they are generally well tolerated and work well but not everyone can take them or have different lipid needs addressed.  I would say Resins is a rising class of medication for these and are under brand names like Questran.
