My mother has high cholesterol

My mother is now 51 and only just started going back to the doctors. Due to a move and transferring medical files. Apparently she said it was 812 at 135 lbs. That sounds high to me but I don't know anything about it.  It has been about 4 years since she has been to the doctors and she has gained 35 pounds. Mainly what has prompted her to return to the doctors was menopausal issues. She wants me to ask what kind of risk is she at?

Thank you for the response. I will tell her what high cholesterol numbers are. Is it even possible to be that high?

Your mother needs to verify her numbers, it is extremely unlikely that her total cholesterol is over 800. Some one with very high cholesterol is approaching 300. If you can give us a better number we can help.
