Non Statin Drugs with good results?
I have been taking two different statin drugs that have resulted in horrible muscle pain. Can anyone suggest a Non Statin drug that has helped lower their cholesterol without any side effects? Doctor wants to try yet another statin, I say No...I do eat right and exercise, but high cholesterol is all thru the genetics... Thanks

Ask about a fenofibrate or a fibrate. Both work by limiting the amount of cholesterol your intestine can absorb. They are not as effective as a statin but they do help along with a proper diet and an exercise program approved by your doctor.
